Clubteam ILLI-Bikes zet de stap naar het continentale circuit

ILLI-Bikes, de vrouwenploeg van Ken Ilegems, treedt komend jaar toe tot het continentale circuit onder de naam Rupelcleaning. Het was het team zelf dat het nieuws lanceerde via social media. “Vandaag kunnen we met trots aankondigen dat we in 2021 de volgende stap zetten. Volgend jaar zal het ILLI-Bikes Cycling Team van start gaan als ‘Team Rupelcleaning’, een Belgisch-Iers UCI Women’s Continental Team.”

Onder meer de Belgische vrouwen Nele Armee, Isabelle Beckers, drie jaar geleden de Belgische vice-kampioen tijdrijden, Gilke Croket, Fien Gyssels, Ditte Lenseclaes, Karen Verdonck en Tiana Troch koersten dit seizoen voor ILLI-Bikes.

Belgische jeugdkampioenschappen in Borlo afgelast

De Belgische kampioenschappen tijdrijden voor de jeugd zijn afgelast wegens de aangescherpte coronamaatregelen van het Overlegcomité. Dat hebben de betrokken gemeente, de organisator en Belgian Cycling besloten. Normaal gesproken zouden de wedstrijden voor de categorieën aspiranten, nieuwelingen, junioren en beloften zondag 25 oktober in het Limburgse Borlo worden gehouden.
